約20年もの間、冤罪で投獄生活を送ったボクサー、ハリケーンことルービン・カーター氏（Rubin Carter）が2014年4月20日に亡くなった。
彼の半生を映画「The Hurricane（邦題：ザ・ハリケーン 1999年公開）」で知っているだけだけれど、トロントで亡くなったとのことだから、一緒に裁判を戦ったあのカナディアン達の近くで生きてきたのかな。
